Jack and Katherine Jensen CKHS Scholarship Fund

Jack R. Jensen was the principal of Central Kitsap High School from 1971 to 1985. He continued to teach in the CK school district after his retirement and went back to his first love (other than his wife of 65 years Katherine), teaching kids and young adults in the Central Kitsap School District. Jack was well known in the Silverdale community and was active in both the community through the Silverdale Rotary Club and CKHS activities. Jack was a strong advocate for young people who came from varied backgrounds and had gifts that didn’t necessarily show up on test scores. Jack was very proud of his humble beginnings, and . Accordingly, his families wishes are that this scholarship be set up for the highest achieving student in CK’s vocational programs that prepare young people for great jobs right out of a great high school – CKHS. His family is very proud of Jack’s contributions to making CK a better school both while he was there, and until his passing.
